029 Blue Darling

For the first painting in the monochrome series I used one of my favorite colours which is Liquitex Permanent Light Blue. I'm sure you will notice that I use this colour in many of my paintings. I used this hue and shades of by adding varying amounts of black and white to the blue. I didn't use any pure white or pure black. The darkest shade looks nearly gray and the lightest white but they are definitely still blue. I realize it's kind of out of character for me to make a sad drawing but it just seemed so fitting for blue. I like the pop art look I achieved by making this painting in monochrome and I feel it really added to this picture. Hope you like it!
